Kevin Lilly, right, alongside singer/songwriter Brant Christopher
An amazing turnout for an amazing cause, the Sandtrap party last Saturday was a hit. Thrown by Kevin Lilly and What About Blue?, the event was a precursor to the Sandtrap Golf Tournament held Monday at Feather Sound. To raise awareness for global water conservation, Kevin recently spent three months kayaking the 2500 miles down the Mississippi River. Be sure to Check out Kevin’s site and become a part of this crucial cause.
On hand to perform was East Coaster Brant Christopher and band, later joined by fellow musician Michael Tolcher. Both super talented, the energy in the lobby was incredible. Of course WildWood provided the pig and World of Beer was here giving out complimentary drafts to promote their new 4th street location here in St. Pete . The event was also sponsored by Dan Akroyd’s own Crystal Head Vodka.
A huge thanks to Kevin and What about Blue? as well as all the sponsors for letting us be a part of such a cool event.

As mentioned in a previous post, Bealls Department store held a casting call at Postcard Inn and had shown an interest in shooting their photo / commercial shoot here as well. And over the past couple weeks, they’ve been doing just that. Last week we were glad to welcome Beth Studenberg of Miami, who along with the Bealls crew snapped some shots around the property for their upcoming spring collection, and I was lucky enough to hang around to see the pro at work. With an undeniable talent for bringing out the “personality” in her subjects, Beth photography has been used by Cosmo, Glamour and Target to name a just a few.
And this week the film crew was in town to film footage for their TV spots. Armed with 2 RED cameras, shooting HD, a few hand picked models from around the state and some beautiful weather, the shoot began in picturesque Ft. Desoto before moving up the beach to Postcard. Thanks to Bealls, the Dalton Agency and all who were involved with the project for bring so much life to our little locale. Can’t wait to see the ads!
